This place comes highly recommended by any local you’ll speak to. Mind you at no point did anyone explain it was over an hours walk from central and from my visit a few years back there was no seating so we literally walked there to walk back. Staff were however extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Good weed, nice staff behind the counter although the most useless job in the world the man that stands at the door every hour of the day as a security guard has no manners and is extremely. Came back to look for something I lost and he start using gay slurs & demanding ID when I didn’t even want to buy anything again. White Romanian looking guy, didn’t think I’d get homophobic abuse when visiting this of all places in Amsterdam.

Overall pretty rude staff. If you are purchasing multiple things its like pulling teeth. They just sigh and roll eyes. After all the hype to come here, the staff was supposed to be nice. No they were horrible. Another customer was complaining his preroll was like half empty, and the door guy not sure what his job is.

The man on the door was so rude. His demeanor, tone just everything! So by the time I got in the door I wanted to leave. I got a gram because it was late and I had just walked far to come to this specific coffeeshop. But that one encounter on the door before entering your shop just ruined it for me and stopped me buying anymore. I think the short man on the door really needs to get some people skills.

This shop was one of the best but its been more than 6 months they are selling the ammesia joint with very less quantity compared with before and the price still the same !!!! I used to smoke it for the hole day and now it's just half day and it's done !!! This is not fair and once I complained to the staff they replied : this is what we have !

Nice place. Friendly staff. Love the old school pharmacy style they have going with the epothicary draws and everything. Gave me helpful information also as a tourist about signage and legal areas to smoke outside of the city center and RDL areas. Also, had great prerolls!!

Very rude staff, not welcoming at all. No advice, just wanted to get rid of us. Left very quickly. Joint has a very poor structure, very weak at close to the roach. Probably worst coffeeshop I've visited.

A cannabis connoisseur's kind of coffee shop. The clean green joints have some of the longest gerricks I've encountered but the quality of the flower was impressive. Smooth and flavourful with a sweet buzz. Expect to pay some connoisseur prices for those fine features.

I visited Amsterdam for the first time and my friend recommended me this place. Interior is nice and tidy, don’t be scared of people outside, they are there for your safety! The product I bought was nice, the effect was as I expect really good, but the taste wasn’t so pleasant, but it’s totally normal for this kind of product. Overall solid 5/5, will visit again!

One of the best places you can buy your own medicine, fom the door man stays all day there just to make sure everything is safe and the incredible patiend has for some of the anxious costumers is golden ,good job,and the staff the (Doctors) are really friendly and nice , like i said its a good felling.

They stole my sunglasses in there. They asked me to take them off before coming in so I took them off and went in. I must have left them by the counter when purchasing. I left and short on my way back I realized I didn’t have them with me. I went back and they told me I never came in with sunglasses. Of course because they were in my hands. They were Marc Jacobs sunglasses. The security and manager were super sketchy about it too. Sad experience for a first visitor. And last for sure.

I am divided with this place. On the one hand, It looks awesome, like a diamond bank, wood, cristal, golden lights, cordoned queues, very good looking. The staff in the counter are knowledgeable and friendly, the menu is good, although i missed some more american high end genetic options. On the other hand, there is an extremely rude and unpolite 'bouncer' on a suit with an earpiece in the door, who really ruined the experience for me and made the place feel really uninviting, adding to the feeling of going to the bank or something. The place was not crowded or anything, mind you, and he looked like a club gorilla. He interrogated me as to what i was doing there (like, dude, what do you think i'm here for?? lol) and asked me for an ID although i am well over 40 and it clearly shows. I saw an empty staying area inside, so i asked him if i could stay there and have a coffe or something and smoke. He rudely replied that it is for smoking 'pure only', and some other random conditions, giving the clear vibe that he really did not want me to stay there at all. The staying room was cristalled, locked, and absolutely empty so i kinda passed. He then pressed me into getting into the cordoned queue or get the hell out his face. At that point i was about to bid farewell to his entitled unpolite face and leave, but the interior really piqued my attention so i endured and proceeded to get in the queue. And then, as the final delightful interaction with this really annoying person, he stopped me again and demanded i take my hat off, like i was going inside some kind of temple or something. I contained myself again, complied, and made my way to the counter. Got some of the top stuff they had, Kosher Tangie Haze, which as i said was pretty good, and got the hell out of there. So, to sum up, great looking place and good menu, although maybe missing some more high end choices. The staff inside is friendly and knowledgeable. But the bouncer is really insufferable. It is not really neccessary in a place like that, gives a really bad impression to customers with his attitude, and also makes you unconfortable to stay inside.

Boerejongens is the preeminent coffee shop in Amsterdam (I have sampled product at 58+ different coffeeshops). Visited initially in 2019, again in 2020, and the past 2 days. Highest quality of hash and at reasonable prices. Hashtenders are informative, sincere, and friendly. The edibles are amazingly delicious and visually appealing....they are sneaky strong, and novices should tread lightly by eating a 1/4 or 1/3 .

Quality is beyond expected, though the price and customer service could be better. Overall the best weed I've had so far. Super silver strawberry x blueberry haze mix made me leave this dimension, recommend trying it out outside of the city or in a relaxed place, avoid consumption inside a coffeeshop if at all possible. Remember to take off sunglasses and hats.

This is possibly the worst customer experience I have ever had. The ‘bouncer’ in front of the coffee shop shouted and behaved extremely aggressively to my friend and I. This is all because he asked me to take down my hoodie and I decided to instead stand outside on the street and wait for my friend . According to him my decision to stand outside instead was disrespectful to him. This is my neighbourhood coffee shop and I have never caused any trouble here, I did not feel I deserved to be humiliated for no reason.

Quite possibly the best coffeeshop in Amsterdam in terms of quality to price ratio. If you are looking to hang out and smoke there itself, I wouldn't suggest this place as it is very generic and corporatish.

The quality of the products are top notch, a great selection of hash if you are into that. Edibles are the best in the Netherlands for sure, you have to try the Red Velvet. The service is hit and miss, sometimes I go and bud tenders are really nice. Other times the person behind the counter couldn't really careless and is almost rude. I know what I want so I'm really quick but I imagine that it's not so nice if you have questions. They only do cash or Maestro so be prepared.

No menus, staff just ask you what kind of smoke your into. Didn't feel welcomed when I walked through the door, guy looked at me like "yeah?" I'm like "menu?" He says "no menu tell me what you want" Which then led to the purchase of some lovely green magic which got me heavy boned. Staff member warmed up a little but still, maybe welcome some through the door with a "hey what's up what you looking for" instead of letting them stand there for 30 seconds and being like "yeah?"

Went today, the staff was extremely helpful and as soon as they realized I was an American they where very helpful and patient. They did not try to convince me to buy anything just because I was the tourist. They treated me no different than the regulars that walked it. I sat down head my coffee and was back off without pressure to hurry up and eat. I don’t have anything else to compare this with but I’ve been living long enough and traveled long enough to know what poor customer service feels like.

Had high expectations of this place with the amount of recommendations this place gets. The staff feel stuck up and too forceful and try to rush you despite it not being busy. Really disliked how the menu is turned off until you get to the counter. You can't even navigate the menus as the budtender controls it and you can only see whichever menu you asked. The bud is average at best and for some reason, they only do cash.

Had a very strange encounter today with one of the sales guys at boerenjongens Amsterdam West. I went up to the counter, tried to look at the menu when out of nowhere the sales guy deactivated the menu screen. When asking him if I could see the menu again, he looked at me without saying anything for about 5 seconds before aggressively telling me that he had expected to be greeted first before doing business with him. Very strange fellow, I had said hi but he had not heard it because of the mouth mask and a big plastic screen that covers the entire front desk. This guy definitely made me feel uneasy and unwelcome and I strongly question his sense of customer service as I had not experienced anything like this in my 10 years of living here and going to coffeeshops all over the city. What a shame.

Their products are TOP ! Nice menu and GREAT hash collection. If you're a hash lover, this is your place! Don't go to the central one because it is always crowded. Take a walk and enjoy the city and visit their less crowded one. You won't regret it.

Great shop! One of the best in Amsterdam. The staff is kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. They all speak Dutch and English of course. They have a good selection of both edibles and strains. The Red Velvet cake is amazing in its own right. 10/10 would recommend

Bif it a queue the last couple of times I was there but it's very fast. The guys inside are very professional, there is now a plastic glass between you and them and it's all covid proof. The guys are knowledgeable and the product is amazing. I always go there

Dear readers, I usually leave nothing but Five star reviews. So due to the great reviews on this website I’ll go ahead and said I’ve gotten out of my way several times to ride my bike and come here. The first time : got hit on by a person at the desk , another time I’ve gotten asked by the security guard if I knew how to read because I needed a lighter and it was in front. Today I ride km to get there and the man IDs me, (folks I am 35 years old). I am going back home empty handed. Never again!

Good store with friendly staff, solid selection, good quality and clean atmosphere. Your current homegrown sketch is absolutely amazing, I hope you will have it on the menu for a long time to come. The only Blue Orca crossing I saw on my last city trip. Also the hash is always of excellent quality. And even if I'm a lover of the old specialties: the introduction of the blocks resembles a paradigm shift in the scene.

Prerolled products as well as space cakes were really worth the money and kicked in just right! The shop itself looks very professional. Come here for an experience different from the usual shady coffeeshop around the corner.

Of all the shops i visited during my time in Amsterdam, this was my favorite by far. This shop is a bit of a walk from the center of the city, and so worth it the shop has a dispensary feel. Very clean and professional space, the staff is quite knowledgeable and you'll never be disappointed with a product. Staff answered the questions I had, and their product menu was very clear and informative. Also, they have the best Amsterdam Genetics rolling papers available in a little vending machine. I went out of my way multiple times to come to this shop, and I will absolutely be back whenever I am in Amsterdam

Me and my partner walked 25 minutes to go here specially, and it was 100% worth it! Unlike usual coffeeshops in Amsterdam this one is more like a dispensary/shop. The whole shop was clean, friendly and welcoming. The staff were very knowledgeable and were happy to help. However, the particular staff member we had kind of rushed us to buy a specific strain, which was a bit annoying but we werent disappointed as it was lovely stuff! We came here specifically for their famous edibles - incredible 10 out of 10! Highly recommend their edibles! Ive had edibles in Amsterdam before that didnt do anything, but the ones from boerejongens are wonderful! They took an hour to kick in, but I definitely preferred this to smoking. The taste is out of this world! Definitely worth the trip here. Try the edibles!

What a really disappointing experience. I was hoping that this place really stood up to everything I had seen online from reviews and from Instagram. I walked through the door like an excited child in a sweet shop. To only be felt rushed by the bud tender who had about as much enthusiasm as a wet tissue. Asking what he would recommend to then have the menu pointed at. I already knew about the brownies which I ordered and enjoyed. The only thing that left a bitter taste in my mouth was the guy serving us, It was like every question was too much effort to answer. I had seen an Amsterdam Genetics hat online I wanted. I asked for one to be met with these are all we have. Nothing like try our other stores it was pretty embarrassing as I had bigged this place up to my two friends who were also not impressed. I won't rush back when I'm in Amsterdam to be made to feel like that again.

Not so special as everybody says. There are plenty of good quality shops like this one. Its a good shop but highly overrated in my opinion. The weed is never dry enough when i buy there. Cakes are really nice though.

This is a professional run shop with tremendous knowledgable and friendly people. The “stuff” is of outstanding quality at acceptable prices. And the best? You don’t have the usual stigma. Shop style is more like a pharmacy with modern interieur. Customer base seem to consist of local people and more mature foreigners. Recommended!

I like this place and I was always pleased with the service that I received. But today something changed. I asked a guy at the desk "could you recommend some strong indica?", but he laughed at me and just pointed me to the menu and started offering something completely irrelevant to my request. It was not nice at all.

This was an amazing experience. Never before have I been in such a professional coffeeshop. It feels like the reception of a 5-star hotel. The strains I tried are lovely, light with a lovely effect. Good Weed! Shame about the Xenophobic Staff Members Boerejongens in my opinion is one of the best coffee shops in the city. Having visited all three coffeeshops, they have well trained staff that are there to help with your understand of the high that you want to achieve, is was one of the places to go, however, after my experience last night by one member of their team, I am doubting if we should return. My husband and I are over here for 4 weeks to discover if we wish to make Amsterdam our permanent home. Although, we have been teaching ourselves dutch for the past 6 weeks & it is limited & as with everyone that learns a new language, struggles to implement what they have learnt. So despite our limited use of Dutch & trying to show respect, it was not enough for one member of staff serving us. Who's The body language and tone was as less than desired. With awkward smiles of other staff members, clearly showing their embarrassment at the situation. Although Boerejongens promotes on its website that staff must speak dutch. I would have though that the Dutch Hospitality would also be a key driving factor towards customer service. I was disappointed to encounter such Xenophobic behaviour in a city that embraces multiculturalism. I question if we would return to this establishment again given the service that we received.

This shop definitely does not fulfil their promise to advise customers and instruct them on the various strains, at least according to my experience. After walking quite a while to find it I was treated very rudely by one of the staff, who told me I should leave as I was taking too long to choose. Staff obnoxious, manager unhelpful, Definitely not going back and would not recommend this cofeeshop. .. No worries they have another store right around the corner - Boerejongens Coffeeshop Centre - where the staff is amazing and they take their time to ensure customers get what they are looking for.

I love this place, it has a very cool vibe to it with the sellers in white lab coats. They have a good selection and great produce which is relatively inexpensive (€10 ish for a gram of haze). The staff are always friendly and they do great cakes - melt in the middle chocolate lava space cake was delightfully delicious (expensive at €10), unfortunately didn't hit me but my roommate enjoyed the high a lot! My new favourite coffeeshop (from a local who is picky!)
