Barraka coffeshop is located on Gravenstraat (Grave Street), a small side street near Dam Square. The street is closed to automobiles, though it is heavy in foot traffic given its proximity to key Amsterdam attractions. One end of this street leads to De Nieuwe Kerk. This translates as The New Church. Contrary to its name, this is a famous and old church-turned-museum, concert, and exhibition hall. At the other end of this street is Nieuwendijk (New Dike), a busy section of the city’s most popular shopping district.

This is my most favourite place to be in the world! An absolute gem in the centre of Dam, great atmosphere that is filled with intention and love. The owner was super friendly and attended to us at every given moment. I found myself constantly wanting to be there to soak up the rich culture and soul soothing reggae, all encapsulated in one space. I've officially made it my getaway spot and will be returning at least twice a year. Thank you Hans for making us feel at home!

Great little gem off of Dam square, great food, super friendly staff, and affordable. Not the best bud, but still respectable and the pancakes more than make up for that.

Good location right by dam sq. All the weed smelled the same, like freshly cut grass. When challenged on it the dealer agreed they all smell the same but he doesn’t smoke so he doesn’t know. Didn’t purchase.
