Had a mega time here! Good advice on the menu options. If you have mobility issues you might not get upstairs, steep windy staircase. Downstairs seating mostly stalls but comfy. Music was pretty good though a few diff tunes but we all like different stuff. Cool interior and a busy vibe when we were there. Good service and active security. Not a dump. Recommend!

The one and only coffee shop we visited during our time in Amsterdam due to the good reviews and we were not disappointed. The stuff was cheerful, friendly and made you feel cozy. The quality of the weed was good, we are not casual smokers but it was noticeable. The vibe there was really chill. 5 stars

The security at this place is so amazing and kind! He’s the main reason why we came back the next day as he was just so lovely and helpful. The rest of the staff is obviously great too. Good selection and nice atmosphere. Can only recommend! They also have a souvenir shop right next to the coffee shop, deffo worth a visit

Wonderful coffee shop, with plenty of strains to choose from. The staff are very friendly and are very helpful. The shops atmosphere is chilled and makes you want to stay all day! Aesthetically, the shop is a work of art and no matter how much you look around there is always something new and cool that catches your eye! They have a vending machine that sells all of your needed paraphernalia! Would recommend Abraxas to any one!

Stand out coffee shop very nice. However, beware of the hash cake… me and my partner shared one so had maybe 1/3 each and we were baked for 24 hours , she had a melt down, it was not ideal! Beware those cakes are not innocent.

Suggested by tiktok. I have to agree that it is one of the best coffee shops in amsterdam. The prices are okay. The brownie is very chocolatey while the muffin we tried was very dry. The weed was good. The location is great being near dam square.

This is my top Amsterdam coffee shop and actually one of my favorite hang outs in the world. Awesome vibes and beautifully carved wood furniture, decor and a hippie feel. Price range is fairly reasonable considering it’s such a popular place… including some lower end strains under 10euro p/g. Its best to come early if you want to chill awhile and really take it all in. It’s near a lot of the main touristy stuff so it can get quite busy. However, I can generally find at least a seat open and there are often smokers standing just outside. If you are lucky enough to grab a seat, table service for drinks is provided. Their mint tea is highly recommend. The most I’ve been to any other Amsterdam coffee shop is twice but today was my 5th or 6th stop here since 2019.

Visited back in August when Amsterdam was having a heatwave I got the pink runtz, sat upstairs bought a Coke Zero and they had a big door open to let in lots of cool air! waiter was very courteous and would nearly chat to you about anything! My sister had her first edible she got the brownie 500mg and I had one too as an experienced smoker it hit mildly for me which I was ok with! This is top of my list when I go back!

The muffins truly hit. It’s a shame that they taste so dry. Probably because they are vegan and don‘t contain milk to make them fluffy. FYI: You also have to pay for a drink to get upstairs. Maybe that’s common in coffee shops and we just didn’t know. Either way, I‘d definitely come here again.

Still the best in town. I used to go there 18 years ago when I first moved here as a student. So when my niece was in town this weekend, I knew I had to show her the space as well. Nostalgia. Unfortunately, she rolls incredibly strong joints, and I couldn’t get off the bench for a good hour even though I had only two sips. But the security guard was a guardian angel and so kind and so helpful throughout my situation. Six stars and gratefulness for him!

If you’re quite anxious about finding the right coffee shop I feel like this place is the right place to try. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They help you find what you’re looking for and are great with beginners. Everyone made you feel at ease. Quirky and fun decor. Very chilled vibes. The drinks are also great! Not too busy either, we sat outside. I would definitely recommend!

Lovely coffeeshop with a nice interior. We felt at ease. Prices are good and the staff were polite. There is more room upstairs but you have to order something to drink to stay. I'd recommend this coffeeshop !

Our favourite coffeeshop. Decent amount of seating, cool vibes, had more of a range of smokers, not just students. Prices were fair but the thing that really stood out for me was the care recieved by the staff. They were super good at finding each person's suitable smoke. Asking what there experience was which I think makes it so much safer and like they really care rather than letting someone get really sick on something they're not prepared for. Very responsible. Generally very knowledgeable staff who were just super friendly. We kept going back because we liked it so much. I'd definitely go back.

Read up on a lot of coffee shops and decided on this place. We really enjoyed it. We got the pre rolled hashish which was perfect for us. Mellow and relaxing. Knowledgeable staff who can help you decide if you describe what you’re looking for. Nacho behind the bar made our day as well as some great drinks, including a creamy hot chocolate. Would come again.

Very cozy, atmospheric place! It's a bit of a shame that it's so full - had to wait to get in but it was worth it! The staff are really lovely and patient, everything's so calm and honestly a vibe. The drinks at the (non-alcohol) bar are delicious and quite cheap, so it's a nice addition for spending time there. Definitely reccommend!

Overall, pleasant atmosphere for drinks or more. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Well aired out. I wish there were more couches, or in general, better seating options. The "brownie" is more like a bland muffin. I don't know why it's advertised as a brownie. Was disappointed about that. Seems like they changed the recipe a few months ago, as the old photos look nothing alike. (PS - (unrelated to the coffee shop) if you've never tried edibles before, please eat it very slowly. I don't know if my reaction is normal, but letting people know anyways. I ate half of it within 2 hours and nothing happened. Then proceeded to eat the rest sort of right away. Big mistake :D Had a strong reaction all of a sudden. Thankfully I was in my hotel room by that point, otherwise, it would have been truly stressful.)

This is certainly my favourite coffee shop in Amsterdam! Abrarxas has a good variety of products, fantastic atmosphere, knowledgeable staff and great coffee. It can get really busy but it's worth the wait to get a table.

This is the best coffee shop in Amsterdam! The place is so cool and the vibe is immaculate and they have the best mint tea in the city and I’m not joking - tried and tested. Their weed was nice and a good price too and the staff were so lovely. Definitely made it onto my favourite list for this city.

I have been here 20 times. The previous brownie was the best in Amsterdam. Why did you change to this new shape and size. This one sucks. Disappointing change!!!

I walked in and I really liked the interior. The staff is friendly and explained to be what is best for beginners ( haven’t smoked for 10+ years). I got the cbd joint and I got baked from 4-5 puffs. For me this is one of the best shops in Amsterdam ! Will come every time I visit this city!

Decent weed but staff constantly checking your glass to see if you drinking your drinks as it seems they don't want people sitting all day just smoking. Being pushed to buy drinks quite alot when you just want to smoke and chill. Quite a poor experience if the staff just backed off with drinks and let you get them at your leisure.

Loved it here! Nice staff, nice people hanging around, and absolutely amazing space cakes. I mean... I wouldn't know if there is something even better (there might be, really), but from all of the kinds I tried, these ones were super nice and teleporting.

It was a first time for my travel partner and the gentleman we spoke to was very informative. My partner decided he did not want to smoke, so we left with a brownie. Prices seemed faired to me. While it tasted really good, not dry like most brownies, it did absolutely nothing for us. 3 hours went by and no effects at all. Rather disappointing! The atmosphere was great. So 1 star for atmosphere, 1 star for the employee, and 1 star for pricing. But that's all I could give since we clearly were sold a dud...

Good place to sit nearby center of Amsterdam. Service is good, only staff is high and bring some drink. Cleaning is rough and loud. Expect more gentle with moving chairs and etc.

Customer service is below par. The server hustled my group of friends to leave after 15 minutes of sitting down after buying their weed. It’s a shame as the place is really atmospheric, however the customer service completely ruins the experience. Hope they will improve.

the classic one in the middle of the city is always a good place for a relaxed coffee and chill out. you can sit inside - outside are only some few places available because of the small street. the building itself has several floors. the service is very good. the quality of the products is very good. the prices are relatively high for Amsterdam.

As someone who has never done cannabis/weed before, I was hopeful that Abraxas would be a good venue to purchase a cake. I went in and asked what they had, but they only had a brownie. I purchased the brownie for €6, not knowing how much it should cost. The brownie didn't do anything and I was very disappointed. I wouldn't advise Abraxas for first timers, plus the other shop near Ramen-ya doesn't exist.

Staff are efficient and knowledgeable. It was busy but had a very chilled atmosphere. The joints were nice, as was the coffee. I wouldn't bother with the brownies though, they weren't potent enough for me. I would definitely return.

Came to this place on third and finally day of smoking trip to Amsterdam. The cafe was nice offer and a good range of different smoke. Was very knowledgeable and unseen them helping out a lot of tourists in picking out smoke. But the place was really busy and found it hard to get a seat. Overall worth stopping by but you can miss it off the list if you don't have time. Also picked up one of the grinders from this place for a gift back home. He was happy with the gift and I didn't pay for it so its all good

Best "coffee shop" in Amsterdam in my opinion. Chilled and friendly atmosphere, very helpful and knowledgeable staff and very homely. The building itself is full of character with amazing architecture and art work. Definitely one not to be missed.

Good price and vibe inside. But you can't bring drinks with you especially beer. Beer us restricted in all coffeshops. Placed right in center. Near there is food shop with delicious bakery (coconut cookies are awesome)

One of the most popular coffee shops in Amsterdam, for a good reason. Their products are of great quality, especially their space cakes. Can get quite busy, making it a bit hectic, but it is usually easy to find somewhere to sit. The staff can be quite distant and rude; I guess it is because they get fed up with all the people? But still :/

In my top 3 faves. Fantastic quality if limited in selection. Internal decor is very arty and chic hip. Table service. Excellent drinks try the homemade sparking lemonade. Busy, comfortable, 2 floors, clean toilet, spiral stairs. Settle in .

Didn’t feel anything. I ate about 75% of a brownie it’s been 2 hours since the first bite . And 7.50 is a bit much for a brownie . It also doesn’t have that good of a taste but it’s a nice size and 2 people can share it if you want. Also I do not smoke weed so I would feel everything because I’m not used to it.

Visited Abraxas in Amsterdam on my 21st birthday, 09/05/2019. I was with my partner and he was actually the one who suggested entering as it looked enticing at dark. We came in and were greeted by lovely staff members, ordered 2 lovely coffees each and were allowed to smoke our own. Looking at the menu, there was a wide range of drinks and snacks along with edibles and different strains of bud. The atmosphere was almost euphoric as the decoration in this coffeeshop was astounding. Anyone visiting Amsterdam, I suggest you visit Abraxas - especially after dark.

Love this place, has a really great atmosphere and plenty of room due to the multiple floor levels (although it can get packed out on a busy evening). Beautifully lit and decorated. Just watch out for the typical Dutch crazy steep spiral staircases. Drinks and food are average prices for central and good quality. Cannabis seems good quality with lots of choice of modern strains at relatively reasonable prices.

Don't smoke so brownies it was. Advise was to split one between two people. This did not work at all. The next night advise to take one each. This also did not work so left it as it wasn't meant to be.

Friendly place. Didn't have any issues with unfriendly staff. Didn't have your typical Brit lads/girl groups in there. You are them typically at bulldog. This had smaller groups when I was there and felt a little more welcoming.

Abraxas had a great selection of souvenirs in their coffee house. Good selection of cannabis and a great environment. One of the best places to party and relax. We didn't try the food ☹.

Very nice coffee shop. Good atmosphere, the guy selling smokes was helpful and good to talk to. One of the waitresses upstairs was a bit edgy though... Don't go up the wrong set of stairs.

Nice environment, but pretty cramped, and very expensive. The people working there are mostly a bunch of sad sacks. Old guy whom I guess is the owner was openly berating everyone shouting expletives in Dutch that I guess he knew the mostly international patrons wouldn't be able to understand. The girl behind the counter treats you like you're an idiot. Don't touch the Volcano vaporizer if you haven't used one before, because you'll get berated for attempting to use it. If you don't like to work in a coffeeshop in Amsterdam, then don't work in a coffeeshop in Amsterdam.

Normally my first and last visit when I'm in the city. Have always loved this coffeeshop, chilled ambience, tidy and clean and plenty of seating. Great selection of bud and one of the best cappuccinos I've had from any coffeeshop :) my number 1 recommendation when in Centrum ☺️

The brownie was delicious but we didn't feel anything, waiting waiting hopelessly for some effect. They didn't even wanted to sell us weed, saying that brownie could blow us away totally. Very bad to spend 2 hours wasted. The waitress from second floor was very rude, negative and should quickly leave her job and go to psychologist. I put one star only for the girl with black hair at the bar, who was friendly and with sense of humor.

A great place to chill and vape downstairs. One of the few places with as many women customers as men. They have a couple volcano vaporisers. Doesn't sell great weed, I pick up from Grey Area nearby and then sit here for hours using their vape and drinking Chocomel. During this time I hear the budtenders explaining the difference between the two cakes on offer every few minutes. Have memorised their spiel now ;) Both cakes are tasty but the hash version usually has better potency.

Crowded place, full of smoke, with windows opened to ventilate the room, which made the latter cold and uncomfortable. The waitress didn't know the menu, and she told us (group of four) that the brownies had cannabis, although that was not mentioned in the ingredients. No effect whatsoever in anybody! This coffee shop is expensive and regarding the special cakes, they sell a pig in a poke.

I go twice a year. A stop is never complete without a few visits here. Always love going here. So chilled and quiet, great coffee and tea selection. Favourite is the mint leaves with camomile tea.
