Good-looking coffee shop. Went there with two other friends, and all of us bought a pretty good amount. I wanted to chill there, and two minutes after sitting down, the bartender wanted us to order something. Furthermore, I wanted tea, but the other two friends were good. But the bartender declined, wanted everyone to order something, and made us kick out. The Shop was pretty empty, so there was no need to stress. Had this experience now two times in Amsterdam. Nice money and „customer“ policy. If you don’t give them money constantly, you're not welcome. Every other waiter or shop worker is rude. What a greedy city ! Killed the vibe

In this Shop we had the best consulting. Especially for beginners. They explained us how to smoke, what we can do if it was too much. Best out of 4 Shops we tried.

This is a brilliant coffee shop, the staff is really friendly and extremely relaxed, the prices are very good. I got hot tea and my friend got a fresh juice, both were perfect and cheaper than usual. The music was beautiful and matched the vibe perfectly, the bar is also very good and laid out beautifully. Overall I would 1000% recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Been here a few times over the past weeks. Decent quality bud, great coffee, good chats and laughs with fellow clientele, and bartenders. Lily and Eva are absolutely crushing it with them milkshakes! Definitely one to visit on a regular basis, for casual smokes.

As we enter Coffeeshop Dampkring in Amsterdam, I can sense a positive and relaxed atmosphere. High grade service and product. Really friendly and chilled atmosphere. Some of the best weed I’ve smoked this weekend. Zoap and Old School are highly recommended. I can see why these guys are so popular (endorsed by The Trailer Park Boys, haha). Will definitely return next time I’m in town.

Popped in and caught it at a lovely time. Not too busy and had a lovely couple of hours enjoying the LA Kush Cake. Highly recommend. Staff lovely and friendly.

It was really cute and the whole shop looked so vibie! The music was great as well! I also ordered a Smoothie and I saw how it was made freshly, however I personally didn’t like the taste of it, waaaay too much orange juice (although it also says that it’s based on that on the menu) my mates still enjoyed it though! And it was quite cheap for a smoothie :)

Dreadful. Aggressive and very rude and confrontational staff, they literally just made me pay for food then kicked me out without even letting me take my food - because I asked about my sunglasses. Awful establishment, awful management and employees - stay away from here if you want a chilled out smoke and a coffee. They are now being dealt with for stealing from me. They are extremely rude and disrespectful. There are many better shops / cafes nearby - go to any of them but not this place because I promise you all you will get from the staff is TERRIBLE attitude - and theft. Silly people

A V O I D !!! Very rude waitress with a horrible attitude and also low quality products. Nobody treated me that rude in my whole life and I was their customer. Can you imagine? The waitress approached to our table and asked what we were going to buy. The thing was we had just bought their stuff (which was low quality and expensive) and were trying to roll. I said not now, thank you and she flipped! She pushed the water bottle I had on the table and started to yell : NOBODY CAN COME TO MY SHOP AND PUT THOSE (water bottle) ON MY TABLE AND ORDER NOTHING TO DRINK ! Then she shoved the coffee menu to our face and yelled : NOW, BUY! I was shocked. My brain couldn’t process what just happened and I couldn’t even say something. We were 35 & 36 years old people, not a child! We had to left the shop without couldn’t even smoke what we paid for. That was the most horrible experience as a customer I’ve ever had! There are lot better options than this horrible place. Don’t waste your time and money.

After being recommended this place I am left feeling disappointed. It’s a shame one of the severs attitude towards customers was so unwelcoming and blunt when I was extremely polite - I don’t understand why have such a bad attitude with a customer seeking to have a good experience. Shame because the music and interior was fun but maybe customer service skills is something to be taught to your staff .

Can’t rate my experience very highly, depends who serves you. Waitress was good but unknowable about the menu. One of the guy’s attitude was very curt, he needs to smoke more.

Chilled atmosphere, one of the original coffeeshops. Mad decor and trippy vibes throughout. The cat was an added bonus! Great place to have a chilled visit, no nonsense and a half decent cup of tea to say it wasn't Yorkshire Tea. No hassle here just mellow vibes. A must visit whilst you're there.

Updated 2023 Always the best and chillest place in Amsterdam. Service is top. No pressure, smiling. The lady at the counter was a young Italian girl who was so professional, kind and efficient. She made the best smoothie I ever had in Amsterdam. Generous with loads of fruits, tasty and a reasonable price, for the quality it had. I hope it was not a one time off experience, I would love to go again, To try one more flavour and have the same experience

Still my favorite over the years. The selection of cannabis and beverages is top rate. The staff is knowledgeable and personable, the latter which continues to be surprising for such a famous establishment. If you want to enjoy yourself in a truly Dutch experience, this is the place!

1st coffee shop I went to while traveling Amsterdam and boy am I glad I did. Such a cool atmosphere and everyone's friendly (no, not just because they're stoned...). They sell anything from pure flower to pre-rolls. Sat @ the bar w/ a friend and had a blast. needless to say, the rest of the night was a trip haha

Great coffee shop. The first time I went here they were the only coffee shop to sell cannabis and alcohol. Nice atmosphere. This coffee shop was in the Oceans 12 movie. I'll be going back here on my next trip to Amsterdam!

In the Centrum neighborhood and one of the oldest coffeehouses in Amsterdam! Great vibe inside with funky-weird decor and sweet treats, snacks, tea and drinks. No alcohol of course. (Yes, it was a setting from the movie Oceans 12 w Brad Pitt too!). Cool, music and helpful staff. Definitely one the best #coffeehouses in Amsterdam!

Small place with a bar on one side. Was crowded n loud when i went. So that ruins the laid back ambiance. Feels like a bar not a coffeehouse. Small weed counter in back with over 40 varieties. The guy serving was helpful. It was 23 euros for 2 grams. What i dont understand after lining up for the weed is why i gotta buy the muffin edibles from the bar n line up all over again... the muffin i was told had half a gram in it. Cost 7.5 euros. Muffin was tasty. Only one girl working so service was slow. She was nice. This place was funky but would never be my hangout spot.

For me it's the best in Amsterdam. The staff at the weed counter are friendly and knowledgeable. The product is good. Also a range of juices and shakes served at the bar. It has an old world feel, like stepping back in time, love the wood and the low lights. Small but could always get a seat. It's not a local place like some a little further out but also isn't a tourist trap like those not far away.

Always fun to stop in this place for a nice coffee and smoke. Great interior. Relaxing. Easy to find and usually busy. Lots of tourists during the warm summer months. Winter days are a good time for me.

Great place to buy good stuff. But be aware that a couple of guys from the staff are very rude, just a couple of guys, the others are very gentle. The dutch white guy with short hair and tattoos is the worse, just by the way he's staring at the customers you can tell he is annoyed to be there.

I expected more quality... I am a bit disappointed in the muffins and other products in the coffee shop. In my opinion there are other coffee shops that are quite nice and with good stuff. For muffins and brownies I highly recommend Kadinsky Coffeeshop (Zoutsteeg 14, 1012 LX Amsterdam, Netherlands). You will be amazed by the effect they give you :)). And for other products Abraxas (Jonge Roelensteeg 12-14, 1012 PL Amsterdam, Netherlands). Good luck and hope Dampkring will revive with better products in the future. I gave you guys 3 stars because of your history and the courtesy of the staff but sincerely the products were very low quality.

Such a cool coffeeshop with friendly and patient staff. The places to sit were full when we arrived (Whit weekend), but we were lucky and got a place (at the bar) after we purchased the good stuff (AG13, C5, Wedding Cake and Piff Haze were on our menu). We connected with other people and we all had a great time there. Can’t wait to visit you guys again!

To my mind, it's the best coffee shop in Amsterdam! Very cozy and relaxing vibe with the ambiance of Buddhism. A pure joint costs 7€, also, you can buy a space cake for 7€ here (spoiler: it is veeeery delicious and effective!). The place is very nice because you can order tasty tea for 2,4-3€ and enjoy it while smoking your joint

Miss this place! Visited in 2019 B.C (before covid) and it was a chill atmosphere until it got crowded but the greens definitely took me to another universe, never felt a high like that after consuming so it was a memorable experience! Can’t wait to visit again

Always been one of the best places to store in Amsterdam. Here you get varieties that have unfortunately long died out elsewhere. Oldschool Haze, Nevilles Haze, A5 crosses, Kalimist. Everything that makes the sativa lover happy. And additionally not cheap, but high quality hashish. Service for out-of-town visitors used to be a bit rough, but the last few times I've been there, quite friendly. Keep your line, in Dampkring you know what you get.

One of the best coffeeshop or the best one, lovely staff, cosy ambiance, good music, lots of choice on the board and at the bar ( homemade tea ), in the center with good price and stuff, you discovering lots of good peoples here. We were here for 4 days, it's wasn't enough ! Try the Khasili, the Ta Lemon ( fruity ) and the ketama is good for the price. Thanks !

Terrible service, the waitress was too busy "chillin'" and minding her own business, she just ignored us. My brother wanted to take our order at the bar but took him several minutes to get her attention. No milkshake (or she was just to lazy to make one)?! Very disappointing after seeing all the good reviews about the bar.

Super good quality and variety of weed. Unfortunately the place is super tiny, so it's hard to find a table. It is an old, stylish building. Really close to Kalverstraat, one of the most popular streets in downtonw Amsterdam.

Haven't been back since my time there in 2008 but definitely one of the better experiences in a coffee shop! Seeing all the pics on the walls from all the celebs and using the volcano was a great experience! Definitely recommend stopping in and checking it out

Nice place but very unfriendly staff. Been asked to buy something else or leave while I was still drinking my tea. The place was completely empty at that time so no reason to kick us out. There are plenty better places in Amsterdam

I've been too Amsterdam about 6x now and this place is my go to! By far the best coffee shop for me. The choice of smoke is fantastic and the cakes are great to. Friendly staff who remembered that I had been there a few times and had a chat with the manager who is a top guy. Can't recommend Damkring enough!!!!

Very good place with interesting design (I really like tables hier). I recommend to try hot hazelnut chocolate and all varieties of milkshakes, they are really cool! People often come here for magic cupcakes. I would advise not to eat more than one, cause they are really strong!

Dampring is always our first stop coffee shop when visiting Amsterdam. The prices are not bad for a central coffee shop, but the staff are great, as well as the product on offer having won awards for its calibre. It gets busy in waves, but it’s the perfect place to unwind & read a book or paper, whilst chatting to others or just chilling with a smoke. Thank you for all the memories.
