It was suggested to us from the hotel receptionist for a real coffee. No smoking. We had a fast coffee to regroup and enjoy our time in Amsterdam. It was our first stop after check-in. Nice place. 1 star lost on the air within the store which was too much for my lungs at the beginning.

Our first experience in a coffee shop in Amsterdam and I am happy with my choice! Kooi was exactly what I wanted, good vibe, not crowded (Saturday night) and the staff super welcoming

Clean but uncomfy. I tasted here the worst combination in my life. Oreo and Diezel weed. I made the mistake to buy it after the title which was Oreo.The menu is in one small tablet only. Just stay away from it, the Diezel (really!) taste was very intense and disgusting, who thought of that? I left it on the street after one joint and I was thinking maybe it would have been better to trash it. What a waste.

One of the best coffee shop in the town away from the busiest coffee shops. Very spacious for everyone's privacy and comfortable couches too. There was no smoke in the air inside so it was comfortable to sit longer.

Was in the city a couple of months back and visited this shop twice. Both times staff were very friendly and chill and I observed them being really helpful with other customers which can be a contrast to some other places around the city. Try the hash.

What a lovely coffee shop I popped in for a couple of grams of hash a couple of times The staff where so helpful and polite I will be back again in September and I will be making this my go to shop If you are in the area I totally recommend giving it a visit

The staff were friendly but very dismissive and assumed the customers were tourists or not knowledgeable about weed, poor quality weed and very little if any ID checks. Very tourist based coffeeshop, wouldn’t recommend.

Of the 20+ coffeeshops we visited in our 2 week stay, we always came back to Kooi. Great staff, incredible product and beautiful decor (I was told the walls were hand painted and took 3 months to complete) - definitely worth a visit!

This was our favourite coffeshop in amsterdam! Awesome dude behind the counter, tasty coffee, even better greens, brownies were tasty but too weak for us so perhaps ask more than we did. I can stress how much we loved interior design!

Thank you, Kooi! We visited in February. This was my favourite coffee shop in Amsterdam, all who work here are fantastic, genuinely nice people! The music varies, their menu was amazing when we were there, and the unique decoration was hand painted by a Romanian artist. Strains all tasted fresh, and I left with a few prerolls to wander around the city before. My partner also loved this place, we both felt very relaxed here! The nearest tram stops are Rembrandtplein or Waterlooplein, both being approximately a three minute walk away!

First time in Amsterdam for my wife and myself. Went in twice within our stay young guy friendly & helpful at explaining, older guy (owner I assume) also helpful. Nice atmosphere plays the football

Looked nice from outside but was empty at 8pm! Got questioned on weather I'd been there before, did not want to buy as over priced and expensive. Kept calling me and my friend boys (condicending) and said we could have coffee this one time. The two staff where very rude and being empty thought they would of appreciated the business. Was local to where we were staying but will never go back again! Much friendlier coffee shops close by. Worst experience I've had in Amsterdam over the last 20 years.

Nice atmosphere, incredible hand made bird paintings all over the place. The guy that was at the counter was strange like he didn't belong there. The wc was awfull and dirty...maybe the worst wc in entire Amsterdam, it was for sure the worst wc I entered in the hole Nederlands ever.

Popped into this coffee shop at like 8:30 PM on a weekday and had such a great experience!!! Nicholas was the dude that helped us out and he was super pleasant and friendly towards my wife and I. This would be my coffee shop of choice if I lived in the area! Check them out- great atmosphere with a good selection!!

The guy wasn't quite friendly when I was buying the space cake. It felt like I have to hurry very much, although there was no one after me. Did not get any recommendation on how to use it. Tried a little bit and almodt didn't feel anything. Ate the rest the following day and hardly made it home. No warnings on the packaging, no information on how long it will last. I am 55kg and barely experience with weed. The guy who was selling, didn't advise to take lesser amount of the space cake. Plus, I think it's overpriced: 9,50€.

Weed is here, Cannabis store Trendy place with a hipster vibe in Amsterdam. Happy joint is the one we had. Goes well with mint tea. Hard not to recommend. P.S: side effects: went for chocolate pancakes and fries after...

My favorite coffeeshop in Amsterdam thus far. They have a great herbal mix available for free, along with papers and filters for you to use if you want to roll your own. Vibe is chill with couches and the staff is very kind! Strongly recommend!

Fancy interior that invites you to linger. The coffeeshop is not as busy as others, which makes it all the more attractive. The quality and the staff are convincing. Simply recommendable!

Small coffee shop with cute interior. Might be great and chill for common users. We were first timers to go to a coffee shop and weren't helped out very friendly. The staff simply gave us the menu and stared at us while we tried to work our way through it :(

For a "Coffeeshop" this place is one of the best. A visual spectacle with the bird cage theme that looks great. The place is well laid out with great seating. It is smaller than some of the others but is worth it for that relaxed and visually appealing feel. Their goods are ever so slightly pricier than the rest but not where it feels greatly overpriced. We're talking a Euro or two. If you want to chill at a "Coffeeshop" that looks as great as it feels then this is the place.

trippy decorations thatbare just delightful after a few smokes, lovely soft lighting which is also considerate in preventing high strain. The rainbow cake is a good shout at .5 grams and super moist.

You have to use their products, better shops allow you to use your own if you are buying drinks (which we did) Their recommendation (Knight Terror) was horrible. It tasted awful, it didn’t burn well, it was a waste of money. Their seating looks cozy but is quite uncomfortable. If they allowed us to use products from other places this would be a great place for it’s sheer convenience next to the Eden hotel.

Kooi had very cool decor and was welcoming initially as a coffee shop. We purchased some hash and were told we were also required to purchase one drink per person to offset the costs. The workers were a bit standoffish and cold but not unfriendly. The bathroom was not very clean and I could almost not open the sliding door when I approached it. I even turned on my cell phone light to make sure I was really trying to get in to the correct room because the light inside was not on (it was an automatic light). Overall, this was a mediocre experience compared to other coffee shops in Amsterdam but the decor and theme were fun and interesting.

They recommended me the strongest space cake they had. In the end I barley felt anything. Would not recommend their edibles.

Unpleasant experience all round . Staff where very obnoxious and rude, Made us feel really unwelcome. Massive shame as it has potential to be a nice place, the staff just need to learn some better customer service skills.

Lovely little coffee shop, just off the main part of rembrandtplein. Much quieter and relaxed compared to coffee shops in the main square. Drunken louts are kicked out if they're too rowdy which is nice if you're not a drinker and want somewhere quieter to enjoy a smoke

Really nice coffeshop just if Rembrandts plein. Friendly staff, great and varied menu, cakes, teas, coffees, and snacks. It's very cosy inside with a really nice theme, good selection of "Coffeshop" tunes and friendly staff. Would give it five stars but there menu is a little on the ricey side. It has a Cali menu but starts at €30. Stick the Dutch menu and you won't be disappointed
